Sue established Carpenter’s Cross Ministries in 1987 as an intergenerational outreach to children and youth. Based in Seattle, Washington, USA, Sue has travelled to 27 nations working with churches to impart ‘kingdom’ identity and values.

As a partner of CityLife Church, Sue takes short-term teams into these nations. When new church plants have families with children, and youth in sufficient numbers, a team is sent to model ministry to the national workers and empower them to increase their ability to resource families in their villages, cities and nation.

This is a process of developing a foundation over several visits, with the end goal of establishing a healthy, self-replicating, intergenerational ministry in each church.

Intergenerational Ministries

Carpenter’s Cross Ministries provide training with a vision to teach, equip, and commission children and youth, allowing them to experience a culture that welcomes the Holy Spirit to call out their destiny.

The Bible says if you train up a child in the way they should go, when they are old they won’t depart from it. Children’s workers will be trained to have a better understanding of “the way they should go” so they treat each child not as they are, but as the Lord sees them. This draws children into the individual plan that God has for their life.

It costs:
$ 500 to resource a children’s ministry at a church
$ 2,000 to sponsor an intern for a three-month term
$ 4,000 to bring workers from villages to a central city for training
