AAOM
Australia
Today, people from over 20 AAOM churches attend the annual national convention at that church in Halls Creek. Many of these churches are pastored by Indigenous people. Some of these churches are in the most remote and isolated communities in Australia. In September 2014 Brett and Justine were appointed as the national directors for AAOM. In this role they minister to Indigenous people and their pastors in the AAOM churches all over Australia. They are still based in Halls Creek but have moved out of their home to live in a bus which serves as their mobile home, office and ministry base.
Indigenous Australia
There are nearly 400 Aboriginal communities in Australia. Some are on the outskirts of the hottest, most inhospitable deserts and hundreds of kilometres from shops, schools and services. Brett and Justine believe the answer for the Indigenous communities is Jesus. With a new-found identity in Christ and discipleship, our indigenous people can become strong, positive role models and leaders. People and communities without hope and struggling with alcohol and substance abuse, have the opportunity to be radically changed by the power of God. For more information visit www.aaom.org.au.
