Rayma

South East Asia

Ken and Rayma Tracy, along with their four young children, started their ministry in Indonesia back in 1990. The villages ‘called to their hearts’, as the places where the gospel was most needed on Timor island. The term ‘body and soul’ guided the ministry. Medical care, education, and creative agriculture ministered to the physical needs of the people. Evangelism, discipleship and leadership training at the village ministered to their souls. As a result, they were able to raise up new believers and equip them to lead others to Christ. Though Ken passed away in 2011, raising local leaders continues to be Rayma’s focus, and the ministry continues with a team of indigenous leaders.

The villages where Rayma and her team live and work are far from cities and the terrain is very rough, making travel to some areas quite treacherous. However, four strategic ministry centres have been established to reach surrounding villages. These centres provide oversight and discipleship programs for students who then minister in various fellowships and plant new churches. The ministry also provides medical care to all who are in need through health clinics, and children are given an education to help secure their future. Teams that visit on mission trips have the opportunity to serve the local communities and work together with local leaders in encouraging believers and sharing the gospel.

Each month it takes:
$ 3,000 to run their bible school and senior high school

It costs:
$ 6,000 to build a simple village church
$ 500 to run the pre-school / youth programs
