CityLife International Church – Addis Ababa was officially registered in Ethiopia on 11 May 2010, and is affiliated with CityLife Church in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1969, CityLife Church has multiple congregations across Melbourne and a wide network of international partnerships. It is home to people from over 110 nationalities, living together in harmony, love, and equality.
CityLife International Church – Addis Ababa was planted under the leadership of Paulos and Ababo Djini. After many years of living overseas, they felt a strong call to return to their country of origin in March 2008. Both were sent as missionaries to Africa and have since made Addis Ababa their ministry base.
Our Strategy
Through local‑language ministry development, we seek to equip and raise passionate disciples who will reach the unreached people groups surrounding our capital city and other strategic regions.
We are committed to working in partnership with the wider Body of Christ to fulfill this mission. CityLife International Church is a member of the Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Fellowship.
Our Programs
Our services include vibrant music and worship, prayer, children’s ministry, inspirational and practical messages, and warm fellowship.
We also run a leadership development program called LifeTracks, designed to raise and equip capable leaders who can faithfully lead God’s people.
Generation after generation stands in awe of your work. Each one tells stories of your mighty acts.
Psalm 145:4 The Message
Our Vision
Our vision is to raise up fervent followers of Jesus Christ who will reach out and impact communities, cities and nations for the Kingdom of God.
Our Mission
To plant healthy churches that are international in scope, based on unity in diversity and committed to authentic loving relationship.
To plant missions-centred churches that will expand the Kingdom of God in our city, all federal states of Ethiopia, Africa and the rest of the world; in partnership with others.
To bring the gospel, in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner to various people groups to raise up true disciples of Jesus Christ who are actively growing towards perfection, the image of Christ.
To help release fervent followers of Jesus Christ into their God-given destiny and be a blessing to the nations.
To serve humanity in a holistic way by helping the poor overcome poverty and achieve the means to live their lives with dignity.
