Celebrate christmas together Light a candle and spend some time in prayer asking God to show you how you can be His light in this world. previous next PEACE - Week Two 7 Dec 8 Dec Pray for healing for someone. Ask God to bring peace and wisdom to their situation. 11 Dec 12 Dec Memorise Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Take time to sit in silence and thank God for the gift of Jesus. 9 Dec Find an image of a world map and take some time to pray for peace in our world, especially in areas that are currently affected by war. 10 Dec Pray for someone that you need to forgive. Ask God to help you to forgive just like forgives us. Walk around you suburb and pray that God will bring peace to households. Pray that the people in the home will come to know you if they don’t already.

Think about a person who has made a difference in your life. Write them a Christmas card thanking them for the difference they have made. You can use the White Chocolate and Cranberry Christmas Cookie recipe included in this pack or find a recipe you like online. Read Matthew 1:18-35. Spend sometime writing a SOAP devotion. Write out a scripture or verse that stood out to you. Express what you observed and how you will apply the learning in your life. Finish with a prayer. 18 Dec Make an effort to smile at everyone you encounter today. 15 Dec Buy a coffee, tea or hot chocolate for someone. If you can’t buy one, offer to make one for someone. 16 Dec Go for a walk out in nature and take time to listen to the noises around you. Thank God for the things you notice in creation. Read Luke 2:7-15. Reflect on what it means that Jesus will bring great joy to all people. Write down all the ways that God has brought joy into your life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” Thank God for the gift of Jesus. previous next LOVE - Week Four 20 Dec 21 Dec Go through your wardrobe, kitchen cupboard or toy box and donate an item to a thrift store. 24 Dec 25 Dec Send a card thanking someone who dedicates their life to serving others such as a school teacher, nurse, police officer, a volunteer at church or even someone who has helped you in the past. 22 Dec Do an online shop for a local food pantry such as CityLife Community Care. If you can’t do this, donate something you already have in your cupboard to a local food drive. If you don’t have any food to spare, spend some time in prayer asking God to help those in need this Christmas season. 23 Dec Reflect on how much Jesus loves you. Write down a list of 10 ways that Jesus has shown that he loves you. Join us for Christmas Day services either online or in person. Take time to pause and worship Jesus for all that He is.

It could be taking in their bins, offering a meal or simply just inviting them in for a cup of coffee. previous next HOPE - Week One 1 Dec 2 Dec Read Luke 1:26-38. Take some time to journal about two questions as you reflect on the passage: What is God saying to me? What will I do about it? 5 Dec 6 Dec Pray for someone in your world that does not know Jesus or who is far away from Him. Ask God to speak to their heart this Christmas season. Invite them to church with you this month. 3 Dec Invite someone to watch online church with you by sending them the link, or ask them to attend a service with you such as the Christmas presentation or a Christmas day service. 4 Dec Take some time to write out your testimony about how you first met Jesus and the difference he makes to your life. If you feel comfortable, share it with someone. Pray for one person you wouldn’t normally pray for. Ask Holy Spirit to guide you in who to pray for.
